Elixir Paper Filter Cigarettes are a more eco-friendly alternative to regular plastic filled tipping papers on most cigarettes.

Design for the brand packaging was taken from the core packaging design and expressed using different colours, alternatives to represent a more earthy feel.I created the key visual designs and the on pack illustrations as well as an in-pack information card to communicate the different properties of the new cigarettes.

The project is a delicate balance between conveying the more natural nature of the filter and avoiding connotations of a natural cigarette which is a very different product offer. Using muted greens and blues with a touch of cream I was able to suggest a more natural aspect to the product while keeping it contemporary and using digital illustrations of the packs and tipping was able to convey the product difference and the benefits enhanced by informative copywriting.
